Oxbow Lake Reflection

Oxbow Lake Reflection

The Icefields Parkway is a life-changing drive between Lake Louise and Jasper in Alberta, Canada. It is considered one of the most spectacular in the world. I certainly agree. I don't think I've ever grinned so much nor been as awed as I've been as when I've had the pleasure to travel this glorious route, and I have done it many times now. There are endless photograph opportunities all with walking distance from the road. If you venture into the wilderness you will be spoilt even further, although beware of bears and wolves...I have come face to face with both! A terrifying experience at first but now I recount with joy!

Overnight there had been a fresh fall of snow and the Icefield Parkway road was blocked so I patiently waited for the snow ploughs to do their job and clear the road. I found this location several days prior and imagined it as the perfect winter scene with fresh snow, therefore I returned mid morning and wasn't disappointed.
